Sports

We have a wide range of sporting activities within a 20 km radius of Argenton.  Argenton sur Creuse has an excellent swimming pool.  There is a large sports complex also, details of activities can be obtained for those who want an energetic holiday.

You are able to play tennis within 1km of the house.  (Prior booking is needed with the Maire)

Within 6kms you have a riding school, for those who like to take the weight off their feet.

Also, within 6kms there is the small airfield, where ‘Gliding lessons’ can be taken.

Fishing is a popular sport here, permits can be obtained from the Maire.  Guests have to be aware that some rivers and small lakes have a ‘No Kill’ Policy.

There are museums, and cinemas locally.

Lac du Chambon, if for those of you who would like to do all water sports – or – just lazy and watch others do them.  The lake has two cafes which are open for refreshments and between 12 – 2 lunches.  Timings for evenings are not to hand at the moment.
